Anna Smith Pruitt, PhD is a community psychologist whose research attempts to quantify and explain the ways in which individual and contextual factors interact to impact community and individual health and quality of life. Her research focuses primarily on the impacts of poverty in the context of housing, homelessness, and health. Recently, she has researched the integration of homelessness services and healthcare systems and has examined racial disparities within homelessness services. Much of her work is applied, on-the-ground and involves collaborations with individuals with lived experience.
