Sonya Acosta is a Senior Policy Analyst working on federal housing policy at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. Her work primarily focuses on expanding and improving access to rental assistance. Prior to joining CBPP in 2020, she worked at the National Low Income Housing Coalition and several fair housing organizations in the Chicago area. Acosta is an AmeriCorps alum and holds a B.A. in History and International Studies from the University of New Mexico and a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
