Bio

Jade Vasquez is the project coordinator for the End Rental Arears to Stop Evictions (ERASE) project. Jade works with NLIHC’s ERASE team to advance the Coalition’s mission and ensure that the historic emergency rental assistance appropriated by Congress reaches the lowest-income and most marginalized renters. In her role, she manages a group of 38 grantee housing organizations that oversee emergency rental assistance (ERA) programs across the country and meet biweekly to share strategies, challenges, and best practices determined by Treasury that ensure that the $46.5 billion in aid reaches those with the greatest need. She also conducts research and writes on newly enacted tenant protections and its impact in preventing evictions and advancing housing as a human right.
