Alexandrea Gonzalez was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. At a young age, she was subjected to drug abuse and struggled with mental illness. The first time Alex was homeless was in high school, and the last time was in 2015. BUT GOD used her pain for his Purpose, and today Alex is serving as a catalyst for change in Rhode Island.
Alex, founder, and CEO of Gather Together United As 1, a non-profit whose mission is to support unsheltered and at-risk individuals; GTUA1 seeks to empower the community to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty through engagement, education, advocacy, and innovative programming that drives system-level change. 

In 2021 she graduated from Social Enterprise Greenhouse. SEG accelerates impact by providing inclusive support and networks for entrepreneurs and businesses committed to positive societal and economic change.

Alex currently serves on Mayor Elorza’s African American Ambassadors Committee, and a individual member of the RI COC
