Bio
Tom Albanese, L.S.W., is an independent consultant and has provided planning, development, and implementation support for housing and homeless programs since 1992. He is a nationally recognized expert with extensive experience in strategic planning, program and system management, training, and evaluation services with a focus on data-driven, equitable solutions to prevent and end homelessness. Tom previously served as associate director and director of programs & planning with Community Shelter Board (CSB) in Columbus, Ohio, and in between those roles, as a lead HUD and VA technical assistance provider with Abt Associates. Tom has worked with a variety of states and localities to develop effective and equitable solutions to homelessness, including New York City, Detroit, Cleveland, American Samoa, North Carolina, and California. Tom also previously served as a shelter and transitional housing director and associate director of Family & Community Services in Northeast Ohio.
