Bio

Jefferey Rawlings attended NC State University studying Nuclear Engineering. He later attended Phillips College and obtained a degree in Computer Programming. He is a man of deep faith who has lived homelessness expertise. He has twice been homeless. He now works to secure housing for others experiencing homelessness. He is employed by JLH Community Action as the Coordinated Entry/Supportive Services Only Director and Rapid Re-housing supervisor in the NC Balance of State CoC. He has worked with persons experiencing difficulties in their lives for over twenty years even during the time he was experiencing homelessness. He has worked with the Jobs for Life program, the Transitional Employment Initiative (TEI) program and the Crisis Intervention (CIP) program. He has worked extensively with landlords and has amassed strategies focused on acquiring and retaining landlords. He developed the “Managed Exit” supplemental agreement as a recruitment tool benefiting tenants and landlords.
